We, at Doctors on Call are thrilled to announce that we had a 100% success rate this past year in assisting students gain admission to Medical School in Canada and the USA. Our dedicated professors are highly qualified and experienced in guiding students. Our team includes Medical Doctors, Lawyers, and University Professors.
We offer a systematic, step-by-step pedagogic approach. The first step involves giving our students a Diagnostic Examination. The results of this exam assist our team in identifying a student’s strengths and weaknesses in the numerous sections of the CARS test. We expertly analyze how well- prepared students are at a point in time. Based on our assessment, we advise students when to sit the
actual MCAT.
The second step involves booking the MCAT because students require an endgame in sight. Otherwise, they feel as if they are studying within a vacuum, with no deadline in sight. This demotivates students. Subsequently, we develop a detailed daily study guide with weekly goals.
The third step is to focus on weaknesses and then take regular Practice Tests which address those weaknesses. We have a two-fold approach: first, we deliver interactive lectures on a student’s weaknesses, and then we design tests based on those weaknesses.
The fourth step is to run a system check before the actual MCAT. This ensures that the student’s laptop, camera, and microphone are all in working order. Students should do the same thing on the test date. This year one of our students ran into difficulty on the MCAT test date. Unfortunately, none of her equipment worked and she missed the test. Thankfully, she scheduled her MCAT early and was able to re-schedule another test date. This time she had no problems, and eventually got accepted to Medical School at the University of Toronto.
The fifth step is to run at least three full-length mock MCATs. Students do so with our team of experts to simulate the actual MCAT environment. This helps prepare students psychologically for taking the test. Surprisingly, students learn a great deal about themselves during the mock tests, ranging from what snacks to prepare and what snacks to avoid. For instance, it is best to avoid heavy meals as this
tends to slow us down.
The final step is to prepare the student’s test taking space. The space should be quiet and without distractions. Additionally, students should avoid any prohibited material and include plenty of scrap paper. Several of our students who lived in apartment buildings found that their neighbours were noisy, and this proved extremely distracting. We recommended remedies to them such as asking their
neighbours to be mindful of the noise level on the test date, to moving locations and so on.
In conclusion, we at Doctors on Call offer personalized lesson plans, expert teaching, and guidance in assisting Medical School candidates. Our services range from teaching for the MCAT, assistance in the Medical School Application, Casper and finally, prep sessions for the Medical School Interviews. Our team has actual Medical Doctors who were on Medical School Admission Committees and therefore offer an insider perspective on what Medical Schools are looking for.
